Welcome to the world of pole dance, where high heels are allowed and where we work on combining attitude, flow and musicality with sensuality and grace. pole dancing has many styles, and some emphasize sensuality, fluidity, and artistry, often featuring floorwork and heels, others emphasize theatrics and story telling. All incorporate dance and acrobatic elements, requiring strength, flexibility, and agility. On beginner level we go over the fundamental movements of pole dancing; steps, slides, pirouettes, waves, circles, plies and butterflies. We go over how to climb and how to get down gracefully from a pole. We teach you how to get up from the floor, and how to move around the pole, combining simple poses and spins and shapes into beautiful dance / combos. PS! Avoid using hand and body lotions on the day of the practice, as excess lotion will cause you to slide and lose grip on the pole. We also recommend wearing short shorts and sleeveless shirt/top for better grip on the pole.
